About us

We are a “social and civic organization” offering free individual and group mentorship. Mentorship services are available to individuals with many/specific intersecting identities, such as minority race, ethnicity, culture, sexuality, gender, not of majority age, etc. The concept and culture of mentorship at Hope Fullness is to provide young individuals easier access to professional and social support. This is largely accomplished by removing societal barriers, such as the requirement of fees, healthcare insurance, and clinical diagnosis. Mentees have the option to meet with Soo-kyung on a regular basis either online or at the office. QTPOC mentees have the option of joining our weekly bipoc support group. Soo-kyung’s role as a mentor is to offer: support in a multicultural, respectful, and ethical manner; referrals and resources; as well as individual and group opportunities for “civic and social” advocacy.

Hope Fullness now offers clinical counseling or psychotherapy services. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together on equal footing to decolonize our space and achieve the goals defined by you. Therapy also follows a defined process supported by scientific evidence and guided by specific rights and responsibilities, which would be discussed and consented to prior to services. Soo-kyung: is a post masters, pre-licensed provider working under the supervision of Enakshi Choudhuri PhD, LPCC; approaches therapy through a trauma informed, Relational Cultural Theoretical lens; and uses collaborative as well as concurrent diagnosis and documentation.

Hope Fullness uses a “sliding circle” and does not accept health insurance for therapy. Our goal is to create a culture where folks talk about things like finances and/or impacts from capitalism in meaningful ways. We believe this is important to both maintaining a sustainable system as well as countering a culture that shames and silences individuals struggling with poverty or finances in general. Please reach out below for information about services!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to encourage collective and individual care and healing; identify and deconstruct the negative impacts of generational trauma and cultural marginalization; as well as foster positive minority, multicultural, and intersectional identity development. We exist to empower and increase the agency of marginalized populations; foster an environment of multicultural awareness, harm reduction, healthy relationships, and narrative building; assist in the deconstruction of ancestral, generational, and cultural trauma; as well as encourage individual and collective growth.

Soo-kyung Rennert holds a BA in Psychology and MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; is the primary mentor and therapist for Hope Fullness under the supervision of Enakshi Choudhuri PhD, LPCC; and currently open to new mentees and clinical clients.
